New Year's Dance

It doesn't have to be New Year's to enjoy this great skein of yarn--it's a classic color combination for any time of year. Spun from 80% Merino-20% Silk Roving, the silk gives a gorgeous white gloss to contrast the black wool. I wrapped colorful blobs of recycled sari silk around the yarn as I spun the singles. That was then plied with a vintage lavender thread with well over 100 (honestly I think it's over 150) multicolored sequins that were hand strung prior to plying. This fabulous silky soft skein is a whopping 198 yards, 6.7 ounces, 2 ply thick and thin.
