Stringin' Me Along

VEGAN handspun singles--no animal fibers whatsoever in this skein. Carded on my drum carder, with approximately 40% orange Ingeo (corn fiber), 20% undyed rustic hemp, 30% dyed red flax, and 10% undyed ramie. This yarn is string-like but still somewhat soft from the ingeo and ramie. The flax will soften with washing and wear as well... It would make a fantastic open wrap, crocheted belt or possibly a purse and could be fantastic in a weaving, used as a weft. It has a warm, rustic but glossy appearance with great drape, and averages about 14 to 16 wpi, with thicker and thinner spots here and there. About 203 yards, 4.8 ounces. I can't wait to see the exciting project somebody dreams up with this yarn!
