Ladybug Picnic

Another spring handspun--I get that 'ladybug picnic' song from Sesame Street stuck in my head every time I look at this yarn, or think about it! I spun this in a lumpy-bumpy-slubby style from Peace Fleece felting batts of bright green in a 70% Merino wool/30% Mohair blend. I plied it with two threads, a mustardy yellow cottolin and a kid mohair blend novelty yarn that blends in a bit. It has lovely, grassy features like locked loops, bits of bright green eyelash yarn, bits of my own Merino handspun, wool felt leaves, pieces of Habu shosenshi paper yarn (linen paper, washable), and about 6 or 7 glass ladybug beads. I think that's it...about 58 yards, bulky thick and thin, between 3 and 8 wpi.

I am plying another skein of this tonight, and could possibly spin more to order, as I have a lot of this fiber blend and quite a few ladybugs still on hand...let me know if you need more!
