Stormy Night

Stormy Night is one of my recent faves...I like it so much that I asked the person I bought the fiber from to hold the rest for me so I can make more! It is spun from Romney Wool (she was pretty sure that's what it is) that's coarse but still pretty soft, in tones of blues and black. This skein was spun from a thick/thin singles that I plied with a thin-fuzzy-sparkly commercial yarn called Kidsilk Night (by Rowan--67% kid mohair, 18% silk, 10% poly and 5% nylon). I spun it in a semi-coiled, semi-loopy boucle style, with patches in between that are just plied normally. The result is a huge and fluffy skein that somebody is gonna have a lot of fun knitting up! It averages about 3-6wpi and measures a generous 120 yards. A 4.9 ounce skein that matches 'Dark'.
