Zhora's Raincoat

My Blade Runner Tribute yarn, sewn from recycled vinyl plastic strips I cut from a damaged linen storage bag. I then sewed the strips overlapping the ends and adding handspun and commercial yarn scraps, rayon seam facing, fabric scraps and more. It also contains all the seams of the bag and both sides of the plastic zipper tape, with the metal zipper in there somewhere. Thread color changes several times, for a translucent and colorful "yarn" suitable for a very special project. More about the inspiration and process on my BLOG

This skein is 25 yards, but I should be able to make more to order. I have been collecting these bags from friends and family and my yarn scrap heap is escaping it's storage container...custom orders will be $1 yard--I can probably accommodate a specific color scheme too.
