A Lovely lightweight purse from 100% Merino Wool felt with vintage buttons

I love this adorable mini purse--great for a young girl, or a night on the town with just a few bucks, a lipstick and your house key! I made this from 3 separate pieces of hand crafted felt in bright pink and jade green Merino wool. The base of the purse is a felted vessel that I shaped by hand. An irregular rectangle of flat felt is stitched by hand onto the vessel to form the back and flap, and the handles are made from a matching felted rope that I doubled over, and stitched on with 4 vintage round red glass buttons for accent. A simple jade green glass button is the closure. This purse measures about 5-1/2" wide by 4" tall, (including the handles, it's almost 8" tall).
