Berry Blue

This is a bulky, fuzzy handspun yarn that I spun from hand dyed Bluefaced Leicester (BFL) wool top, ( hand dyed by woolgatherings on Etsy), spun with little wrapped sections of banana fiber. I plied it with a soft commercial merino blend yarn in sky blue, creating shiny lavender coils from the banana sections.

The resulting yarn is a thick and thin, very bulky, two ply yarn with large bumps/coils. It is very soft, so it would be great for any next-to-skin project, including a hat, small scarf, wrist warmers or a small cowl.

Approximately 68 yards, and a hefty 5.3 ounces! Thick and thin, around 6-8 wpi.
